Whales Tales: Water safety and education for children. Location: Howe House, 10:00 a.m.

First aid and safety: Banjo Williamson, a local firefighter and first aid/CPR instructor, will present information on basic first aid and responsible reactions to emergency situations. Suitable for all ages.

Location: Campfire in Campground D, 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 2

Stop the Wildfire Dragons: Learn how to protect your home from wildfires. 8 p.m. at the campfire in Campground D.

Aug. 4

Readings by local writers. Wendy Turner, Rick Martin and Teresa Ogle will read at 7:30 p.m. at the campfire in Campground D.

Aug. 5

Stargazing. Ted Alberts will take his audience on a journey of the sky. Bring blankets and chairs. 9 p.m at the gazebo.

Aug. 11

Folk music. Fred Benfield will play at the campfire in Campground D at 8 p.m.

Aug. 12

Bill Henika will conduct a geology hike at 7:30 at Campground D.

Aug. 18

Banjo Williamson will conduct lessons in first aid and safety. 7:30 p.m. at the campfire in Campground D.
