WINE SOCIETY NAMES NEW DIRECTOR

Gordon Kendall, a local wine enthusiast, educator and, since April, full-time wine consultant for the Harris Teeter supermarket at Towers Shopping Center, has been named director of the Roanoke Valley Wine Society. Kendall will replace wine wholesaler and educator Beth Crittenden, who co-founded the society with her husband, Rob Crittenden, in January 1994.
