N.Y. MURDER SUSPECT CAUGHT ON I-95

A man awaiting trial for murder in New York was captured during a traffic stop on Interstate 95, and two others in the car were jailed on drug charges.

State Trooper Richard Stout stopped a car traveling 85 mph early Monday and found Torrence Dyck of Rochester, N.Y., in the back seat. He also found a shotgun and a half-pound of marijuana.

Dyck is scheduled to stand trial in Rochester on charges he helped others kill a 60-year-old man who was repeatedly kicked in the head, police said.

Dyck, 22, Alonso Figueroa, 21, and Saeed I. Saadiq, 20, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a concealed weapon. Dyck also was charged with possessing a firearm after a felony conviction.
