WOMAN REPORTS RAPE

A 29-year-old Southeast Roanoke woman told police she was raped by a man who led her to a house in Northwest Roanoke on Tuesday.

Police gave this account of what happened: The woman was walking on what she believes is Gainsboro Road Northwest about 6 p.m. when she met a man who took her to a nearby house. The woman accompanied him to a room on the second floor, where he raped her. She was treated at Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley.
