ALLEN, Marie Hicks, 65, of St. Augustine, Fla., and formerly of Moneta, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995. Arrangements by Craig Funeral Home, St. Augustine, Fla.

CARTER, Lola Hubbard, 95, of Newport News, died Monday, July 24, 1995, at her home. She was the widow of Charles G. Carter Sr. Surviving are daughters, Rozelle Carter, Newport News, Charline Garner, Ellicott City, Md.; son, Charles G. Carter Jr., Virginia Beach; sisters, Gertrude Goodman, Geneva Hairfield, Verdine Fuqua, all of Roanoke; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Sherwood Memorial Park by the Rev. Charles Hoffler. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel.

CORREIA, James William, 55, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995, in New Bedford, Mass. Arrangements by Perry Funeral Home, Mass.

DUNCAN, Alfred Jackson, 83, of Radford, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995, in a Dublin nursing home. He is survived by two sons, Frankie Duncan, Radford, Archie Duncan, Shelby, N.C.; one brother, Sib Duncan, Charlottesville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Chapel in Christiansburg, conducted by Pastor Mary Kearns with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the funeral time at Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.

GROSSE, Hillman Robert, 90, of Blacksburg, formerly of Green Bay, Wis., died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, at Heritage Hall Health Care. He was born on April 20, 1905, in Little Suamico, Wis., to the late Frederick Alexander and Julia Tibbetts Grosse. Mr. Grosse was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Green Bay Wis., and also a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #21, Green Bay, Wis. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Courtney Schwertz, Blacksburg; two granddaughters and their husband, Caren and Macon Sizemore, Richmond, and Cristen and Bryan Chappell, Durham, N.C.; a grandson and his wife, Carl and Laura Schwertz, Richmond; three great-grandchildren, Meredith and Anne Sizemore, and Ryan Schwertz. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 1995, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jacob L. Mayer officiating. HODGES, Hubert Daniel Sr., 88, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995. Mr. Hodges was retired from U. S. Steel and Clements Tractor and Equipment Co. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Catherine Wray Hodges, three brothers, Raymon, John Roy and Aubrey Hodges, two sisters, Ruth Plyler and Estelle Hester. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Lee Eames, Rocky Mount, Gladys and Jim Taylor, Bassett; two sons and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jean Hodges, Hardy, Harold Hodges and his fiancee, Deborah Ingram, Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann and J.W. Swann and Ruby Bellanger, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; several nie ces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Dillon, the Rev. W. Lee Eames Jr. and the Rev. Luther Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. JENNINGS, Susan Lunsford, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995. She was the widow of George B. Jennings Jr., and a graduate of Converse College. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, a member of the Junior League, and the Mill Mountain Garden Club. Surviving are one brother, Kirk Lunsford Jr., Roanoke; five children, Susan Jennings Denson, George B. Jennings III, Elizabeth Jennings Shupe, Julia Sargeant Hoar, and C. Preston Sargeant; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at St. John's Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, 1995, with the Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell and the Rev. W. Frank Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Columbarium. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation or a charity of your choice. JOHNSON, David Allen, 49, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995. Surviving are a son and his mother, David Allen Garland and Tonette Garland, Roanoke; two brothers, Thomas C. MARTINEZ, Louise, 59, of Hillsville, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995. Born October 2, 1935, in Florida to the late Henry Thomas and Mamie Green Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Martinez; two sons, Kenny R. Collins and Kenny Michael Martinez, both of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Eddie Frickie, Orange Park, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, William H. Jr. and Wanda Thomas, Jacksonville, Fla., Charles and Sandy Thomas, Jacksonville, Fla.; special friends, Samuel J. and Rosa Mae Fields, Hillsville. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 1995, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, with Pastor Ray Campbell officiating. McKEE, Judith Ann Brown, 45, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 1995, in a local hospital. She was suffering from A.L.S., commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Mrs. McKee was a 1967 honor graduate of Northside High School, and a 1971 graduate with honors of Radford University, where she was a a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She was empl oyed by F&W Management, where she was named 1990 Employee of the Year. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, David K. McKee; her parents, Kenneth I. and Madeline Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law, (Carole) Sue and Charles Lilly, Beckley, W.Va., Mary and Bobby Darnell, Diane and Willard Whitt, Kathy and Bobby Martin, Bernie and Freda McKee; a brother, Robert L. Brown, Lexington, Ky.; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Lilly, Beckley, W.Va., Michelle, Brian, Samantha, Trista, and Brandi; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Nellie McKee. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Red McKee. She is survived by many other loving family members including a close friend, Dot Miller; and co-workers at F&W Management. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Brown of Rocky Mount, and the late Irving Brown. Her maternal grandparents were the late William and Alice Chitwood of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, 1995, at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Dr. Michael J. Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. PHILLIPS, Randolph Barton, (R. B.) ``Pat"", 89, of Route 1, Draper, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 1995 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born September 6, 1905 in Floyd County. He was the son of the late Crockett DeWitt Phillips and Ida Mae Phillips Phillips. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Simpkins and Dallas Dishon. He was a member of the New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Draper, where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Phillips was also a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Callie Blanche O'Dell Philli ps, Draper; two sons, Randolph Dalford Phillips, Draper, Samuel DeWitt Phillips, Draper; three grandchildren, Terrence Phillips, Draper, Clifton Phillips, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, Patrick Phillips, Draper; one great-grandson, Christopher Phillips, Draper; one sister, Mrs. Dot Dishon, Draper; one brother, Troy Phillips, Snowville. Funeral service will be held Friday 2 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Elder Melvin McGrady officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
