CAUSE OF FIRE IN PULASKI BEING INVESTIGATED

Pulaski Fire Chief Jeff Hall estimated damages at $20,000 to $25,000.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, Hall said, but the case is being investigated for arson.

"It's suspicious," Hall said.

Firefighters arrived at the 600 block of 7th Street N.E. at 5:19 a.m. and had the blaze under control within 10 minutes, Hall said.

Verlin Chrisley, occupant of the home, was at work at the time of the fire, but was contacted by fire officials Tuesday.

He was not available for comment.
