ARSENAL RECORDED NO ACCIDENTS IN JULY

The Radford Army Ammunition Plant operated during July without a Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordable incident, the fourth time in more than 50 years the plant has achieved such a milestone, arsenal officials said Wednesday.

Also during July the arsenal received an Aerospace Ordnance Group President's Award for Safety. As of Wednesday, Aug. 2, the plant's 1,200 employees had worked 1,266 days without a lost work day and had accumulated approximately 12.5 million safe work hours.

"They're both major milestones," said Nicole Kinser, public affairs officer at the arsenal.
