MISSIONER VISITS CHRISTIANSBURG

SERVICES

The Catholic Community of Christiansburg will host Father Richard P. Albertine, a Maryknoll missioner, who has spent years in Venezuela and two years in Nigeria. Readings for the service, at 7 p.m. today at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Cambria, will be Daniel 7: 9-10,13-14; Psalm 97: 1-2, 5-6, 9; 2 Peter 1: 16-19; and Luke 9: 28-36. 382-8028.

Blacksburg's Metaphysical Church will host Kate Gresham, who will speak on Fireside Gardens farm, Sunday, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Estill Putney will conduct a workshop in "Introduction to Metaphysics." 951-4848.

\ VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS

Little River Baptist Church in Floyd will conduct Vacation Bible School Sunday to Wednesday at 7 p.m. for all ages. 382-0792.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Christiansburg Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. for agest 4 to 13. The program will include Bible study, arts and crafts, music, recreation and field trips. 382-4365 or 381-0920.

"Seaside with the Savior" is the theme at Vacation Bible School at First Wesleyan Church in Blacksburg, Monday to Friday, from 7-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday. Classes for all ages. 951-2947.

Vacation Bible School at Community Christian Church in Newbern is Monday to Friday. The theme is "Jesus' Kids, Totally His." It's open to all ages and will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. every night.
