Mr. and Mrs. William E. Bain are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Cathryn, to Mr. Michael Shane Hitchcock. A December wedding is being planned.

\ Crosier-White

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Crosier of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Lynn, to Mr. Jason Fripp White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell White of Longwood, Fla. Miss Crosier is a graduate of Glenvar High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is a computer analyst with Sprint-United Telephone of Florida. Mr. White is a graduate of Lake Brantley High School, Longwood, Fla., and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a hotel manager for Embassy Suites in Orlando, Fla.

An October wedding is planned.

Sandra Anne Leonard and Brian Matthew Geiser are proudly announcing their engagement. The wedding ceremony will be held Saturday, March 30, 1996, at the Glade Creek Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. Sandra is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Billy H. Leonard of Blue Ridge. She is a 1990 graduate of Liberty High School and also graduated from Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by Wal-Mart Pharmacy. Brian is the son of Mr. James D. Geiser of Vinton and Martha R. St. Clair and stepfather, Wilson A. St. Clair of Roanoke. He is a 1987 graduate of William Fleming High School and graduated from Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Cundiff's Blue Ridge Pharmacy and by Glade Creek Baptist Church as Music Minister and Business Administrator

Tracey Lyn Meredith and Christopher Thomas Edwards are engaged and planning to be married October 21, 1995 in Newtown.

She is a daughter of Mrs. Robert S. Meredith and the late Robert S. Meredith. She is a graduate of Pennsbury High School, Furman University, and the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's degree. She is employed by West-Windsor Plainsboro Regional School District.

He is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard T. Edwards of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Princeton University. He is employed by Trenton Times Publishing Corporation.

Renee A. Myers and Stephen W. Sowers are engaged and planning a September 1995 wedding. Renee is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Myers of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School and the College of William and Mary. She is employed by Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Steve is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Sowers, Jr. of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech. He is employed by Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Rhodes Sr., of Milford, Delaware, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sherry Lynn Rhodes of Woodbridge, Va., to Edward Allen White, also of Woodbridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm R. White of Roanoke, Va.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Smyrna High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 1988 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1991 from the University of Delaware. She received her Masters of Science degree in Management in 1994 from the Johns Hopkins University. She is employed as an Account Manager with the Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Northside High School and is currently completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He is employed as an Account Manager with the Gerber Products Company.

A March 1996 wedding is planned at the Manassas Baptist Church, Manassas, Va.

Mr. and Mrs. John Allen Scott of Blacksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Annette, of Charlotte, N.C., to Robert Alfred Hudson, III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alfred Hudson, Jr., all of Pulaski.

Karen is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Virginia Tech and is employed with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, N.C. Robby is a graduate of Pulaski County High School and Virginia Tech and is employed with Hudson Chevrolet, Corp. in Pulaski, Va.

A June wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar J. Smith announce the engag ement of their daughter, Elissa Janena, to Fernando Jamison Harris, son of Rev. and Mrs. James L. Harris, Jr., of Crockett, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Velma J. Atkins of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the late Thomas C. Smith, Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard E. Barnett of Botetourt County.

The bridegroom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. James L. Harris, Sr., and Mrs. Brenett R. Harris of Crockett, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John M. Lake of San Antonio, Texas.

Elissa is a 1990 graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian Schools and a 1994 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Ensign Smith has been assigned to the USS Blue Ridge, flagship of the Commander, Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific, home-ported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Fernando is a 1990 graduate of Crockett High School. He attended Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont. Midshipman First Class Harris will graduate with the United States Naval Academy Class of 1996 in May with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The couple plan a May 1996 wedding at the United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Maryland.

\ Stanfield-Gustafson

Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Stanfield of Roanoke, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Stanfield, to John Jarl Gustafson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Gustafson of Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Miss Stanfield is a graduate of North Cross School and Salem College. She is the Director of Education for The Light Factory Photographic Art Center in Charlotte, N.C.

Mr. Gustafson is a graduate of Oak Park High School and The University of Illinois, Champagne. He is currently attending the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Jennifer Marie Stewart and Barry Dean Beadles are engaged and planning to be married September 16, 1995, in Buchanan. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Stewart, Sr., of Buchanan. She is a graduate of James River High School and is employed at Vitramon. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Beadles of Eagle Rock. He is a graduate of James River High School and is employed at Norfolk Southern. He also is serving a six-year enlistment in the US Naval Reserves-Seabees.

Mary Laura Teague and Borden Joseph Miller Austin, both of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will be married October 21, 1995, in Home Moravian Church, Winston-Salem.

Miss Teague is the daughter of the late Othor Monroe Teague, Jr., and the late Suzanne Norman Teague.

Austin is the son of Mrs. John William Austin, II, and the late Mr. Austin of Roanoke, Virginia.
