King, the club professional at Blue Hills, finished with a 36-hole total of 145 at the Chantilly National Golf and Country Club.
Bruce Lehnhard won the championship with a 138. Dick Canney finished second at 140 and Larry Ringer was third at 144. Gary McBride of Danville tied King for fourth.
The five golfers will play in the Senior Club Professional Championship at The Legends Course in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Blacksburg captured the team title at the Carroll County Shootout high school golf tournament in Galax.
The Indians had a team score of 328, one stroke better than Gate City. Patrick County, led by individual medalist Matt Harnsberger, finished third with 337.
Harnsberger shot a 4-over par round of 75 at Blue Ridge Country Club to beat Jerry Wilmoth of Gate City for individual honors. Drew Robinson of Christiansburg also shot 76.
Other teams and their scores were Virginia High (347), Christiansburg (348), Carroll County (363) and Radford (380).
Virginia is ranked No.16 in the USA Today-CNN preseason football coaches' poll. The Cavaliers, who finished 9-3-0 last year, received 470 votes. Florida State received 1,438 votes to take the top spot. Virginia Tech missed the 25th spot by five votes with 211.
An open practice session for drivers in all divisions will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at New River Valley Speedway in Radford.
There is no charge for grandstand seating. Infield admission is $10 and a NASCAR license is required. A life saving crew, wrecker service and insurance are provided. The next open practice is Aug. 24.
