ADDISON, Kenneth Orr, 58, of Wytheville, formerly of Richlands, died Wednesday, August 9, 1995. Funeral 1 p.m. Sunday, Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel, Rural Retreat.

BOWMAN, J. Maurice, 85, of Roanoke and formerly of Franklin County, died Thursday, August 10, 1995 in a local hospital. Mr. Bowman was a former school teacher and principal, retired dairyman and orchardist. Surviving are his wife, Florence Cline Bowman; two daughters, Kip Bowman Gruemer, Richmond; Phyllis Bowman Carpenter, Chester; two sons, John Maurice Bowman, Roanoke, Cordell Frederick Bowman, Robertsbridge East Sussex, Great Britain; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John T. Watts, Gore, Va. and Mrs. John H. Kelley, Whispering Pines, Fla. Funeral services will be at Antioch Church of the Brethren, Franklin County, 2 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 1995 with interment in the church cemetery. DOSS, Stella Bowen, 79, of Gretna, died Saturday, August 12, 1995. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Chapel.

DUFF, Pauline B., 67, of 321 Fredrick St., Bluefield, W. Va., died Saturday, August 12, 1995 in a Bluefield Hospital. Born in Covel, W. Va., she was the daughter of Maggie McCloud Bonham of Bluewell and the late Claude J. Bonham. She was a member of and previous organist and choir director of the First Christian Church, Bluefield, W. Va. and member and former treasurer of the Appalachian Artists Association, member and former treasurer of the Bluefield Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She was accompanist for the Bland Street United Methodist Church, Fincastle Presbyterian Church and Mercer Funeral Home. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert L. Duff; two d aughters, Regina Bowman Dillon, Princeton, W. Va., Sondra R. (Mrs. Jack) Freeman, Roanoke; and two grandsons, Jeremy Sean and Jason Chad Blackstock. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Geiger and the Rev. Tom Dendy officiating. GOAD, Edith Ragland, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, August 10, 1995. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Harry Jr. and Claudia Goad, Middletown, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Thomas Miller, Montvale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Warren Ragland, Roanoke, Ronald Ragland, Montvale; sisters, Lorene Craig, Montvale, Laura Collins, Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. HALEY, Thelma Croft, 69, of Salem, passed away Saturday, August 12, 1995. Surviving are her husband, William D. (Bill) Haley; son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Nancy (Kitty) Haley, Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Michael Collins, Hardy, Bonnie and Kenneth Meador, Salem; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. HUGHSON, Sidney West Jr., 46, of Roanoke, died Friday, August 11, 1995. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney West Hughson Sr. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eunice B. Hughson, Roanoke ; daughter, Tonya Michelle Hughson, Virginia Beach; brother and sister-in-law, D. Britt and Debbie Hughson, Portsmouth; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Joe Rains, Roanoke; nephew and nieces, Daniel Hughson, Sara Rains, and Katie Rains. Sidney served in the army in the Vietnam Conflict. A memorial service will be held at the Emmaus Foursquare Baptist Church, 4209 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, Va. at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 1995. KEESEE, Reginald G. III, (``Butch''), 44, of Saltville, died Friday, August 11, 1995, in the Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion. Mr. Keesee was a member and Sunday School Teacher at the Church of Christ in Tumbling Creek. He was an employee of the R.C. Harris Trucking Company. He is survived by one daughter, Ms. Kayla G. Keesee, Abingdon; his mother, Mrs. Ruby (Gentry) Keesee, Saltville; one sister, Ms. Ella Keesee, Saltville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 1995, in The D. R. Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Eddie Craft and the Rev. Eugene Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. McDEARMON, Candice Crizer, 42, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, August 9, 1995. She was a Customer Service Agent with US Air and a Speech and Language Pathologist for the Roanoke City Public Schools. Mrs. McDearmon was a graduate of Radford University and was preceded in death by her father LTG Pat Crizer, U.S. Army Ret. Surviving are her husband, Gerald W. McDearmon; mother, Frances Owens Crizer, Williamsburg; brother, Major Scott H. NESTER, Bernard L., 52, of Woodstock, Georgia, died Saturday, August 12, 1995. He was born in Carroll County, Va. He was a Sales Engineer for AFA Industries and a vietnam army veteran. He was formerly of Cobb County and was a member of Mountain View Methodist Church. Mr. Nester is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Nester, Woodstock, Ga.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Doris Jones, Woodstock, Ga., formerly of Bristol, Va.; sisters, Mrs. Jean Terry, Laurel Fork, Va.; brothers, Mr. Robert Nester, Warner Robins, Ga., and Mr. Alfred Nester, Hillsville, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. PARKS, Myrtle S., 83, of Vinton, formerly of Great Falls, S.C., died Saturday, August 12, 1995 in a local hospital. She was the widow of Clarence Parks. Surviving are two brothers and sister-in-law, Eugene Sealy and wife, Betty, Columbia, S.C. and Roy Sealy, Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Lucille S. Hyler, Vinton, Doris S. Lynn, Great Falls, S.C.; three nieces and three nephews. The body was taken from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel to Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls, S. C.

PATTERSON, Yvonne Evans, (""Bonnie""), 65, of 4000-A Bellview Drive, Bedford, died Friday, August 11, 1995, at her home. She was born in Bedford County November 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Charlie Evans and Ellen Hunter Evans. She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leon Patterson Sr., her daughter, Maria Montez Patterson, and a special friend, Donald Eugene Payne. She is survived by two sons, Edward L. Patterson Jr., and Xavier E. Patterson; two daughters, Yvonne D. Patterson, and Ava D. Patterson; two foster children, Cathy D. Barl ow, and David E. Barlow; a sister, Blanche Spinner; a half-sister, Mary Evans; a half-brother, Emanuel Nellums; and three devoted friends, Geraldine Hurt, Nan Wright, and Blanche Kelso, all of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Scott, Washington, D.C.; two great-nieces who lovingly referred to her as (""Grandma""), LaQuesta L. Bryant and Monique L. Bryant; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. She is survives by her children, William D. Quesenberry, Radford, Esther Cannaday, Largo, Fla., George Quesenberry of Maryland, Ralph Quesenberry, Christiansburg, Clyde Quesenberry, Hillsville, Fred Quesenberry, Salem, Mary Trout, Shawsville, Jean Trump, Elliston and Joyce Jones, King, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 1995 at the Richarson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Sunset Cemetery. ROBINETTE, Claude Ellis, 76, of Downy, Calif., formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, August 12, 1995. Surviving are his wife, Flo Robinette, Downy, Calif.; four sons, Claude Ellis Robinette Jr., Richmond, Guy E. Robinette, Roanoke, Billy Joe Robinette, Elliston, James Ray Robinette, Roanoke; two daughters, Nancy Richardson, Leander, Texas, Barbara J. Robinette, Roanoke; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in West Minister, Calif., at the West Minister Mortuary.

SCOTT, Elzie Lloyd, 73, of Greenville, Mississippi, died Friday, August 11, 1995, in the King's Daughters Hospital, Gr eenville, Miss. due to heart failure. He was a retired Weaving Manager, USAxminster Mfg. He was also a native of Lexington, Va. and an army veteran of WW II, serving with the 480th Anti Aircraft Div., seeing action in the European Theatre. After his discharge, he returned to Lexington where he was employed with Lees Carpet until 1952 when he joined Alexander Smith Carpets. He then moved to Greenville, Miss., where he helped to hire, train, and put into operation the Greenville Mills which became part of Mohasco Industries. Mr. Scott retired in 1985 as Weaving Manager due to ill health. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent, former chairman of the Board of Trustees, former member of the Administration Board and Men's Club, a Charter member of the Civitan Club, past member of the Noon Lions Club, Nation American Legion, an active Scouter with BSA on the local and district level, was a Cubmaster of Pack 62 and Scoutmaster of Troop 62, a member of the Order of Arrow, and received the Silver Beaver Award in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Armstrong Scott, Greenville, Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Scott and James Blaine, Greenville, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark L. and Debbie Scott, Williamsburg, Va.; brother, Hubert L. Scott Jr., Suffolk, Va.; and two grandchildren, Mark L. Scott Jr., and Betsy Scott, both of Williamsburg, Va. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 1995 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenville, Miss.
