Following is a list of some neighborhood groups:

Back Creek Rural Village Civic League: Covers area from Coleman Road to foot of Bent Mountain. Meets first Monday of February, April, June, August, October and December at 7:30 p.m. at Back Creek Fire Station. Contact Charles Lavinder, 774-5955.

Bonsack Area Residents' Coalition: Neighborhoods east of Roanoke city line to Botetourt County line along Alternate U.S. 460 to Read Mountain and south to Blue Ridge Mountains. Meets four times a year. Contact Mike Koon, 977-3021.

Boxley Hills Neighborhood Association: Covers area west of Williamson Road, south of Dent Road, east of Airport Road and north of Nelms Lane. Contact Sarah Franklin, 366-4645.

Bradshaw Citizens Association: Includes roads in Bradshaw area of Roanoke County close to Montgomery County line. Group monitors operation of landfill in the Smith Gap area. Contact Russell J. Garman Jr., 384-6298.

Branderwood Recreation Association Inc.: Covers Branderwood subdivision off Buck Mountain Road. Meets third Monday of month, 5:30 p.m., F&W Management Corp., 2917 Penn Forest Blvd. S.W., building E. Contact John Greene, 774-7126.

Bridlewood Homeowners Association: Includes streets off Bridlewood Drive and Saddleridge Road Southwest. The group holds annual meeting in November, special meetings as needed and board meetings on the first Monday of the month. Contact Philip E. Montano, 772-9572.

Carriage Hills Homeowners Association: Includes streets in Carriage Hills subdivision off Martin Creek Road near U.S. 221. Meetings held four times a year. Contact Mary Kerr, 774-0227.

Cherokee Hills Community Association: Includes Cherokee Hills Drive and surrounding area in Glenvar. Meets quarterly at Glenvar Library. Contact Ben Powers, 380-2942.

Cloverdale Community Civic League: Includes the Botetourt County subdivisions of Apple Tree Village, Botetourt East, Runaway Village, Rosamae Gardens, British Woods, Highland Manor and Hunters Green, and community of Cloverdale. Meets fourth Thursday of month at 7:30 p.m. at Read Mountain Fire Station. Executive board meeting is the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m., same location. Contact J. Crystal Creek Homeowners Association and Civic League: Open to residents of Crystal Creek Drive and citizens concerned about issues in area. Meets September through June and less often in summer. Contact Jack Smith, 774-6887.

Fairland Lake Civic Organization : Boundaries are Fairland, Cove and Hershberger roads and Interstate 581. Meets third Monday of month, September through June, at 6:30 p.m., at High Street Baptist Church, 2302 Florida Ave. N.W. Contact Alfred Dowe Sr., 362-3896.

Fort Lewis Civic League: Includes West Main Street, Salem, to Roanoke River, Alleghany Drive, Butt Hollow Road, Texas Hollow Road and accompanying area north of Interstate 81 in Glenvar area of Roanoke County. Garden City Civic League: Covers area east of Mill Mountain from Welcome Valley and Yellow Mountain roads north to Riverland Road and east to Mount Pleasant Boulevard. Georgetown Park Civic Organization: Includes Georgetown Road and surrounding streets off Colonial Avenue Southwest. Annual meeting held in April; outings held throughout year. Marian Hurley, 772-1051.

Grandin Court Civic League: The group will meet Oct. 23 and Dec. 4 at 7 p.m., at Grandin Court Elementary School, 2815 Spessard Ave. S.W. Meetings are scheduled as needed. Contact Garry Agee, 774-8356 or 776-0882.

Grayson Avenue Beautification Council: Represents residents of the 1000 to 1700 blocks of Grayson Avenue. Meets first Saturday of each month, except July, August and September, at 2 p.m. at Eureka Park Center, 1529 Carroll Ave. N.W. Contact Evelyn Pullen, 343-8144.

Greater Raleigh Court Civic League: Boundaries are Memorial Avenue, Roanoke Avenue, James Street, Mountain View Terrace, Center Hill Drive Southwest, Lakewood Drive Southwest, Edgewood Avenue, Brandon Avenue, the Westhampton neighborhood off Carlton Road, Grandin Road, Brandon Avenue, Brighton Road and Wasena Avenue. Hollins Road North Civic League: Includes streets north of Orange Avenue between Tinker Creek and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks and south of Singer Furniture. Meets bimonthly at 7 p.m. at the Trash Transfer Station, south of Orange Avenue. Contact Earl Dillon, 342-2710.

Hunting Hills Homeowners Association: Includes streets off Hunting Hills Drive between Starkey Road, Buck Mountain Road and U.S. 220. Meets as needed. Contact Karen Hancock, 989-0629.

North Lakes Civic League: Includes streets in North Lakes Drive area off Peters Creek Road Northwest. Meets third Sunday of January, April, July and October at 7:30 p.m. at the North Lakes Swim Club, off North Lake Drive. Contact King Harvey, 562-3062.

Northwest Neighborhood Environmental Organization: Covers area bounded by Fifth Street, Moorman Road, 24th Street and Shenandoah Avenue Northwest. Meets third Monday of month at 7 p.m. at 802 Loudon Ave. N.W. Contact Florine Thornhill, 343-7658 (evening) or 343-5674 (day).

Northwest Neighborhood Improvement Council: Covers area bounded by Fifth Street, Fairfax Avenue, 14th Street and Orange Avenue Northwest. Meetings, which will resume in September, are third Tuesday of month at 3 p.m. at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, 523 Harrison Ave. N.W. Contact Rosa Miller, 343-2350.

Old Mill Forest Property Owners Association Inc.: Covers homes on Old Mill Forest Drive and Old Mill Forest Circle, off U.S. 221. Meets yearly.

Old Southwest Inc.: Covers streets between Ferdinand and Marshall avenues, downtown Roanoke, Interstate 581 and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks along Roanoke River. Meets third Thursday of every other month beginning in September at 7:30 p.m. at Alexander Gish House, 641 Walnut Ave. S.W., in Highland Park. Contact Joel Richert, 342-2837.

The Orchards Civic Association: Encompasses streets in The Orchards and Huntridge subdivisions of Northeast Roanoke County, off Alternate U.S. 220 near the Botetourt County line.
