Cosmopolitan Club of Roanoke: Group raises funds for area charities and contributes to Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center. Sponsors the annual Cosmopolitan Track Meet at Salem High School for junior and senior high school students. Meets Wednesdays, 12:15 p.m., at the Holiday Inn, Civic Center. Jaycees: Encourages accepting civic duty and understanding civic problems. Open to men and women ages 21 to 39. The Roanoke chapter meets second and fourth Tuesdays at the Airport Marriott at 5:30 p.m. The Cave Spring chapter meets second and fourth Mondays at the Honeywood Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. to socialize, and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. The Salem Jaycees meet the first Wednesday of the month at the Salem Senior Citizens Building and third Wednesdays of the month at various locations.
