CELEBRATIONS - ANNIVERSARIES

Bowling 50th Anniversary

Walter S. Bowling and Helen E. Fix were married July 28, 1945 in Covington, Va. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Parkway Wesleyan Church on July 29, 1995. The party was hosted by their children, Bill Bowling and his wife, Janet; Patsy Robertson and her husband, Billy; grandchildren, Teresa Wood, Coralee Radford and Mark Bowling. They have one great-grandchild, Christopher Wood.

Mr. Bowling is retired from the Roanoke City Schools and Mrs. Bowling is retired from Lady Bird. They are planning a trip to Canada.

\ Wheeler anniversary

James O. and Rebecca G. Wheeler celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on August 5, 1995, with a celebration held at Mountain Lake. They were married August 8, 1970 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. They have lived in Salem for 19 years. She's the former Rebecca Garrett. They have two sons, Bryan and Mike Wheeler, both of Salem. James is employed by Magic City Motors, and Becky is employed by Toys R Us.

\ Woods anniversary

Lloyd L. and Shirley W. Woods will celebrate their thirtieth wedding anniversary on August 14th. They were married in Christiansburg Presbyterian Church on August 14, 1965. Lloyd is employed by Roanoke City Schools and Shirley is employed by Williams Supply, Inc.
