TALK SHOW SUED AFTER GUEST'S DEATH

The family of a man who was shot to death after revealing on ``The Jenny Jones Show'' that he had a crush on another man sued the program Monday for $25 million.

The negligence lawsuit accuses the syndicated show of misleading the guests on a segment about secret crushes and encouraging them to drink to lower their inhibitions.

Scott Amedure, a 32-year-old gay man, appeared during a taping in March to confess his crush on Jonathan Schmitz, who said he was heterosexual. Three days later, Amedure was killed.

Schmitz, 24, said he was led to believe that a woman was going to reveal a crush on him. He is awaiting trial on murder charges.
