LATE MODEL CARS IN THE SPOTLIGHT FOR 150 LAPS AT NEW RIVER TRACK

The first ever 150-lap race for Late Model Stock Cars will highlight the Craftsman Tools 200 tonight at the New River Valley Speedway in Radford.

It is the last long-distance race before the 250-lap season finale Oct. 21. This is the make-up race for the Cloud's Clothing/Jordan Oil-Marathon event rained out earlier in the year.

Sharing the spotlight with the Late Models will be the open-wheel Mid-Atlantic Modifieds, making their final appearance of the season in a 50-lapper.

The Limited drivers will go for 35 laps, the Pure Stockers for 25. Both the Mini Stock and Mod Mini driver have the night off.

Gates open at 1:30 p.m. with practice at 3:30. Qualifying is at 6 p.m., with the first green flag at 8. Admission is $10 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.
