HOT SPRINGS MAN DIES AFTER CRASH

A Hot Springs man died Sunday morning after he was ejected from his four-wheel-drive vehicle when it wrecked on U.S. 220 in Alleghany County.

Allan Louis Wolfe, 35, was headed north just after midnight when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck the guardrail, a state police report said. Wolfe, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, which crossed back across the road and hit a tree.

Wolfe was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he died at 2:11 a.m., the report said.

The report did not say if there were passengers in Wolfe's vehicle.
