ETS International Inc. of Roanoke, a technology firm specializing in toxic-emission measurement and control, reported earnings of $502,666, or 4 cents a share, on revenues of $19.9 million, for its fiscal year ended May 31, compared with a loss of $701,392, equal to 6 cents a share, on revenues of $17.1 million, for the prior year.
Lechters
Lechters Inc. reported a second-quarter net loss of $1.9 million, or 11 cents per share, on sales of $88.7 million, compared with a net loss of $7 million, or 41 cents per share, on sales of $81.6 million, for the 1994 period.
For six months, the net loss was $4.2 million, or 24 cents per share, on sales of $169 million, compared with a net loss of $8.2 million, or 48 cents per share, on sales of $155.3 million.
Novell
Novell Inc. on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $102 million, or 27 cents per share, up 33 percent from $77 million, or 21 cents per share, a year ago. But an $81 million charge related to the acquisition of WordPerfect Corp. resulted in a loss of $4 million, or 1 cent per share, for the year-ago quarter.
Revenue was $538 million, up 10 percent from $489 million.
For the first nine months, earnings were $279 million, or 75 cents per share, on revenue of $1.56 billion, compared with an adjusted $23.5 million, or 64 cents, on revenue of $1.43 billion.
