Druckenmiller threw a 41-yard strike to Bryan Still for a touchdown and also ran for a score. Ken Oxendine carried nine times for 75 yards with Edmonds taking over close to the goal line.
Another quarterback, Al Clark, completed five of 10 passes for 85 yards and one touchdown - a 7-yard pass to Michael Stuewe. Willie McGirt added a 43-yard touchdown pass to Shane Beamer, son of coach Frank Beamer.
On defense, the Hokies were led by linebacker Steve Tate and defensive end Lawrence Lewis, who recorded nine tackles each with Tate getting a sack and Lewis adding two.

Four national television appearances highlight the 1995-96 men's basketball schedule for Virginia Tech.
Tech's first national television appearance on ESPN is scheduled for Jan.4 against UNC Charlotte at Worchester, Mass., where the two teams will meet in the challenge series between the Atlantic 10 and Conference USA.
Other national TV appearances will be in Atlantic 10 games, at Xavier on Feb.10 (ESPN), at Temple on Feb.25 (ABC) and at home against Massachusetts on Feb.17 (ESPN).
Six other Tech games will be televised, two by ESPN2, one by Prime and three by the Atlantic 10 network.
The Hokies kick off their December schedule with three tough matchups. They will face Georgia at the Georgia Dome on Dec.16, play host to West Virginia on Dec.18 and meet Virginia at the Roanoke Civic Center on Dec.28.
Tech, the defending National Invitation Tournament champion, makes its Atlantic 10 debut Jan.7 with a home game against St.Joseph's. The Hokies will also play Dayton, Duquesne, George Washington, LaSalle and Xavier at home in their first season of Atlantic 10 play.

Virginia Tech was picked to finish fifth in an Atlantic 10 coaches' preseason volleyball poll. George Washington, which has won the championship for the past three years, is expected to repeat.
The first-ever World Karting Association (WKA) national event will be held at New River Valley Speedway on Saturday.
Gates will open at 7 a.m., with practice beginning at 8. Qualifying begins at 11:30, with racing action immediately following the last time trial session.
Promoter Ronnie Snoddy said he is expecting 200 entries for the event, some traveling from as far as New York.
There will be a practice session for karters Friday from noon until 6 p.m. Gates open at 10 a.m. Spectators will be admitted into the grandstand area free of charge both days.
Stock-car racing at the speedway resumes at 3 p.m. Sunday with four divisional races plus a 25-lap Legends Cars race and a first-ever ladies Enduro event.
