PFC. DANIEL P. ROGERS, son of Daniel E. Rogers and Linda D. Muse of Roanoke, graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer Course at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Rogers is a 1990 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

Army Cadet Christopher B.F. Kavanaugh, son of Michael F. and Zora B. Kavanaugh of Boones Mill, has completed an ROTC advanced camp at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C. Kavanaugh, a 1992 graduate of Cave Spring High School, attends Virginia Military Institute.

Marine 2nd Lt. Stanley M. Lauck, son of Claude M. Lauck and Mary S. Kummer of Roanoke, graduated from The Basic School for newly commissioned officers.

Lauck is graduate of Patrick Henry High School and the U.S. Naval Academy. He also has a master of arts degree from the University of Maryland in College Park.
