COUNT PULASKI DAY 'TASTE OF THE TOWN' FOOD COURT PLANNED

The Pulaski Business Alliance has volunteered to coordinate a "Taste of the Town" food court for Count Pulaski Day Oct. 7.

Plans for that and other activities businesses might participate in during that day will begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Renaissance Restaurant.

Alliance President Pat Gooch has sent invitation letters and information on the food court to all restaurateurs doing business in the town and asking them to participate.

The Alliance has also discussed having individual stores and businesses sponsor particular events such as a mime show, children's crafts booth and other activities.

"These sponsorships could mean money or they could just mean time and commitment," she said. "If you know of an event that could be offered as an activity for children particularly, we would like to know about it and would particularly like for you to sponsor it."

Sponsorship involves contacting whoever will stage the event, arranging space for it on the street with the town, and providing furnishings, lunch, rest room facilities or whatever the particular event might require.

Gooch said she hoped business representatives would turn out at Tuesday's meeting for the planning of Count Pulaski Day downtown. Further information is available by telephoning her at 980-5199.
