LeCronier hit a solo homer in the second inning to start the scoring and added a three-run shot in the third, when the Keys sent nine men to the plate and scored six runs to seize control.
Trovin Valdez added three hits - including a pair of triples - and scored three runs as Frederick roughed up three Salem pitchers for 13 hits.
Keys right-hander Brad Crills (2-5) scattered six hits in handing the Avalanche its 13th shutout of the season, all but two of those on the road. Crills struck out five and did not walk a batter in pitching a complete game.
Salem starter Matt Pool was raked for seven earned runs in three innings, including both of LeCronier's long balls. Chris Stewart fared only slightly better, yielding five hits and four earned runs in three innings of relief.
The Avalanche saw its three-game winning streak halted and is 31/2 games behind Southern Division-leading Kinston, which was rained out Saturday night.
Frederick put together six hits and a throwing error by Pool to break open the game in the decisive third inning.
Jesse Garcia led off with a double and scored when Pool fielded a bunt by Valdez and threw wildly to first base. David Dellucci followed with an infield hit, and Valdez scored when Vicente Garcia threw to third trying to get Valdez, making it 3-0.
After a hit by Tommy Davis put runners at first and third, Keys catcher Jim Foster doubled home Dellucci, giving Frederick a 4-0 lead. LeCronier pretty much settled the issue when he drove a Pool delivery over the right-field wall for a three-run homer and a 7-0 Keys advantage. His homers were his fifth and sixth of the season, and his four RBI represented a season high.
Pool was lifted at the end of the inning, but Stewart was treated just as rudely. The Keys tacked on two runs in the fourth and got single runs in the fifth and sixth innings before calling it a night.
Center fielder Edgard Velasquez continued his hot hitting, collecting two of Salem's six hits.
