Sweeper Tait Duus and stopper Patrick Barritt keyed a defense that allowed only four shots against goalkeepers Ryan Caya and Michael Creasey.
The Roanoke Star U-12 White team won the Virginia Cup's Classic division by beating Raleigh (N.C.) Caps 3-1. David Johnson, Nick Schmidt and B.J. Powell scored goals for Roanoke and Daniel Payne and Tom Hagen contributed defensively to the victory.

The Roanoke Star U-18 Red beat the Bristol Rovers 4-1 to win the championship of the Region 2000 soccer tournament in Lynchburg. The Star was led in the tournament by Jamie Miller's six goals and two each from Matt Oechlschlaeger, Chris Lucado, Nate Morrison and Jorge Rivera.
The RGM Erectors/Wicker Basket 200 races were rained out Sunday at New River Valley Speedway and have been rescheduled for Labor Day Monday.
Promoter Ronnie Snoddy said gates will open at 10 a.m., with practice at noon. Racing begins at 3 p.m.
All events scheduled Sunday will be run Labor Day with the exception of the Legends Cars. Mid-Atlantic and track points will be awarded.
