MAN ROBS SALEM STORE

Salem police are looking for a man who robbed the Rainbow Bakery Thrift Store at gunpoint late Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Mike Fisher said a man wearing a black ski mask entered the store at 724 W. Fourth St. and pointed ``what appeared to be a large caliber, silver revolver'' at the clerk. He demanded money from the cash register.

After the clerk turned over the money, the man ordered the clerk to the back of the store to open a bay door. The man ran off with an undisclosed amount of money, Fisher said.

The clerk was not injured during the holdup.

Fisher said anyone with information about the case should call the Salem Police Department's detective division at 375-3083 or the crime tip line, where callers can remain anonymous, at 389-0583.
