Kinston took the top player awards, as the Indians' Richie Sexson was named the league's Most Valuable Player and Bartolo Colon was voted Pitcher of the Year. Wilmington's John Mizerock was named Manager of the Year.
Sexson, a right-handed hitting first baseman, was tied for the league lead in batting average (.311) and led the league with 82 RBI.
Colon, a right-hander, has been on the disabled list since Aug.2 but his 13 wins are second in the league.
