ALLEN, Janie M., 64, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, August 30, 1995. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, Lomax Funeral Home Chapel.

BLEDSOE, Mary Helen, 69, of Route 1, Dryden, old Woodway Road Community, died Thursday, August 31, 1995, at her residence. She was a homemaker, and lived in Lee County her entire life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Bledsoe, and one sister, Ruby Leedy. Surviving are two sons, Earl S. Bledsoe, Clinchport, and Bill Bledsoe, Dryden; one daughter, Joyce Clower, Riner; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Annalee Bledsoe, Dryden, Jean Purkey, Morristown, Tenn. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 1995 at Province Funeral Home Chapel, Pennington Gap, with the Rev. Danny Purkey officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 2, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to your favorite charity.

BLUMER, Mary Eleanor Hull, 83, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Thursday, August 31, 1995. She was the widow of Robert H. Blumer, to whom she was married for 61 years. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dr. Leigh Stockstill, Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Alice Blumer, Washington, D.C., Dr. Darrell and Letitia Blumer, Mashpee, Mass.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will take place Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio. Local arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

BRICKEY, Helen B., 74, of Salem, died Friday, September 1, 1995. Arrangements by Lotz Salem Chapel.

BROCE, David Warren, 47, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 1995 at Radford Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. FUGATE, Lillian B., 81, of Roanoke, died Thursday, August 31, 1995. She was a long-time member of Melrose Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Fugate in 1989. Surviving are a son, Ralph Fugate, of Roanoke; three grandsons, Ralph Fugate II, Charlotte, N.C., James Fugate, and Ronald Fugate, both of Roanoke; and one great-grandchild; one brother, J.W. Bethel, Salem; two sisters, Mabel McCraw, Madison Heights, Va., and Josephine Witt, Colonial Heights, Va. LAWRIE, Archer, Sculptor, 92, of 801 Piedmont Ave., Bristol, Va., died Thursday, August 31, 1995 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in East Rutherford, N.J. and lived in Abingdon for 23 years before moving to Bristol 5 1/2 years ago. His accomplishments were Yale University, New Haven, Conn., School of Fine Arts Class of 1920, Sculptural Relief and Statues, Philadelphia Zoo & Girard Federal Savings and Loan Bank, Philadelphia, Pa., U.S. Senate Chambers, Washington, D.C., Central Railroad of Brazil, South America, Seaboard Railway Lines, Atlantic Coast, 37-foot Statue of Liberty, Liberty National Life Insurance Co., Liberty Park, B irmingham, Ala. Surviving are his wife, Mary Eaton Lawrie, Bristol; three sons, James Woodman Lawrie, Marion, Peter Eaton Lawrie, Bristol, Va., Willis Patten Lawrie and wife, Virginia, Hardy; one sister, Mrs. Anne Lawrie Wolcott, Doylestown, Pa.; two grandchildren, Christopher Lee Lawrie and Bonnie Anne Lawrie, both of Hardy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Eaton, Alleghany, N.Y. LYLE, Walter Clemit, 74, of Glasgow and formerly of Lexington, Va., died Wednesday, August 30, 1995 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington, Va. He was a retired employee of Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church, Lexington, Va. His fraternal memberships include P.M. of Keystone Lodge #39 F & AM, Constantine Consistory $105, Aladdin Temple #111, Knights of Temple and Royler Arch, Eureka Chapter #88 O.E.S. of Va. P.H.A and various civic organizations. Survivors include his wife, Roberta B. Lyle; stepchildren, Valerie B. Harris, Lynchburg, Robert W. Blacke, Gordonsville and Carl E. Blacke, Lexington; two stepgrandchildren; one son-in-law; two daughters-in-law; four brothers, John H. She is survived by three sons, Roy Songer, Troutville, Carl Songer, Roanoke, Harvey Songer, Catawba; two daughters, Iona Maxey, Bernice Sweeney, both of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
