STEAMERS OFFER RIDES ON TRAINS

The Blue Ridge Live Steamers will hold their Labor Day weekend meet today and Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at Burnt Chimney.

The public is invited to ride the live steam, coal-fired 1/8 scale locomotives and trains cars. There is no admission charge; donations are accepted.

From Roanoke, take Virginia 116 across Windy Gap, 11 miles; turn right onto Virginia 688. The track site is at the intersection of Virginia 688 and 689.
