Dr. H. Preston Boggess of Blacksburg and Mrs. Joan S. Boggess of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelley, to Julien H. Meyer III, the son of Dr. Julien H. Meyer, Jr., of Roanoke and Mrs. Marlene P. Meyer of Baltimore, Md.
Miss Boggess, 25, graduated from Salem College, Winston-Salem, N. C. She is employed by Julius Lowy Frame & Restoring Company in New York, N. Y.
Mr. Meyer, 28, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a vice president with United Acquisition Company, a principal investment firm in New York, N. Y.
The couple plans to wed in June in Charlottesville, Va.

Jim is a 1989 graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently employed in Marion, Va., as a CPA but will be relocating to Roanoke. Gary Jones of Dublin, Virginia, and Charlotte Jones of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Renee, to Troy Van Schelling, son of Michael and Kim Schelling of Fort Washington, Maryland. Troy and Kelly will be married November 4th at the First Christian Church in Radford, Virginia.
