Boggess-Meyer

Dr. H. Preston Boggess of Blacksburg and Mrs. Joan S. Boggess of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelley, to Julien H. Meyer III, the son of Dr. Julien H. Meyer, Jr., of Roanoke and Mrs. Marlene P. Meyer of Baltimore, Md.

Miss Boggess, 25, graduated from Salem College, Winston-Salem, N. C. She is employed by Julius Lowy Frame & Restoring Company in New York, N. Y.

Mr. Meyer, 28, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a vice president with United Acquisition Company, a principal investment firm in New York, N. Y.

The couple plans to wed in June in Charlottesville, Va.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger L. Bohon, of Roanoke, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacy Lynn, to Joseph Randy Havens, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Havens of Salem. A December 28th wedding is planned.

\ Boyd-McCabe

Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Boyd, Jr. of Roanoke, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carla Lynn Boyd to Matthew Weeks McCabe, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Weeks McCabe of Thaxton. A November 18, 1995 wedding is planned.

\ Crawford-Parris

Mr. and Mrs. Warren A. Crawford of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Lynne Crawford, to James Randall Parris, Jr. (Jim), son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Randall Parris of Abingdon, Va. Laura is a 1992 graduate of Roanoke College and teaches for Roanoke City Public Schools. Jim is a 1989 graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently employed in Marion, Va., as a CPA but will be relocating to Roanoke. Jim and Laura would like to give a special ``thank you'' to Jim's sister, Liz Ryan, for her part in bringing them together. Most importantl y, they would like to praise God for His guidance and love in their lives both now and in the future.

Alice Fear and Bill White are engaged and planning to be married January 13, 1996, in Charlotte, N. C. Alice is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Douglass D. Fear. She graduated from Westhampton College, UNC, Chapel Hill, Emory College. She is employed by Carolinas Medical Center. Bill is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William E. White, Fort Mill, S. C. He graduated from The Citadel and is employed by Duracell NA.

\ Jones-Schelling

Gary Jones of Dublin, Virginia, and Charlotte Jones of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Renee, to Troy Van Schelling, son of Michael and Kim Schelling of Fort Washington, Maryland. Troy and Kelly will be married November 4th at the First Christian Church in Radford, Virginia.

\ Mauk-Epperly

Melissa Gwen Mauk and David Ross Epperly are engaged and planning to be married in April 1996 in Roanoke. Melissa is the daughter of Mr. James Mauk and Mrs. Ruth Mauk. She graduated from Northside High School and attended Virginia Western. She is employed by Minute Muffler Shop. David is the son of Mr. Cecil Epperly and Mrs. Dianne Anderson of Roanoke. He is employed by Fred Whitaker Co.

\ Moore-Cooper

Cindy Marie Moore and Charles L. Cooper are engaged and planning to be married October 14, 1995. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Moore of Vinton. She was graduated from William Byrd High School and is employed by First Team Auto Mall. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Cooper of Salem. He was graduated from Northside High School and is employed by Lyf-Tym Building Products.

\ Nixon-Rader

Robyn Michelle Nixon of Roanoke, Virginia, and Christopher Todd Rader of Troutville, Virginia, wish to announce their engagement. No date has been set for the wedding. Robyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Wayne Sink and Mr. and Mrs. Donald H. Nixon of Roanoke. She graduated from Northside High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by Retired Persons Services. Christopher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William V. Rader of Troutville. He graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Noland Company.

Laura Michelle Shatley and John William McPhaul, Jr., are engaged and planning to be married October 7, 1995, in Franklin, N. C. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shatley. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McPhaul of Roanoke, Va.

Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Siler of Boones Mill, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Faith Siler, to Benjamin Todd Batten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Batten of Roanoke.
