30 CAR WINDOWS SMASHED

About 30 car windows in Raleigh Court and South Roanoke were smashed early Monday.

Police said they were told that three boys, who appeared to be 16 to 18 years old, were seen driving in a light-colored vehicle, striking parked vehicles. A Westover Avenue resident gave police a baseball bat, saying it had been used in breaking the vehicles' windows about 3:30 a.m.

No arrests were made as of late Tuesday.
