BOBBITT, Thurzetta T. (``Girlie''), 75, of Moneta, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 1995, in a local nursing home. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Bobbitt, Moneta; daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Marvin Cronk, Roanoke, Peggy and Harold Ayers, Vinton, Connie Huffman, Goodview, Debbie and Lee Bonds, Moneta; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby and Rhonda Bobbitt, Tony Bobbitt, all of Moneta; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. BRILLHART, Brian W., 34, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 5, 1995. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen T. (Dorothy) Brillhart, Roanoke; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Mark D. Brillhart, Washington, D.C., Timothy A. and Teresa M. Brillhart, Roanoke, Kennan R. Brillhart, Roanoke; maternal grandmother, Lottie M. Ferris, Roanoke; a nephew, Seth ``Josh"" Brillhart, Roanoke; an uncle & aunt, Mr. and Mrs. William L. (Louise) Ferris, Salem. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 4 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Lester Ferguson officiating. BURNLEY, Ruth Sisson, 87, of Charlottesville, died Monday, September 4, 1995 at her home. She was born May 19, 1908 in Montgomery County (Shawsville), daughter of the late Thomas Shelton Sisson and Mary Miles Sisson. She was the wife of the late Frank Chancellor Burnley. Mrs. Burnley was also preceded in death by a brother, W. Ford Sisson and a sister, Mary Sisson Wood. Mrs. Burnley was a retired Home Economist and Agricultural Extension Agent with Halifax County. She received her B.S. Degree from James Madison University. She was a member of the Jack Jouett D.A.R., a charter member of the Piedmont Garden Club, member of Charlottesville-Albemarle Historical Society, the Homemaker's Club, and was a member of First P resbyterian Church in Charlottesville. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Sisson Johnston, Roanoke, and Juanita Sisson Corell, Shawsville. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 1995 at Maplewood Cemetery in Charlottesville, with Dr. Thomas D. Kennedy officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Presbyterian Church, 500 Park Street, Charlottesville, Va. 22902. CAMPBELL, Andrew Byrd, 87, of Radford, died Tuesday, September 5, 1995 in Radford Community Hospital. He was formerly employed with Norfolk & Western Railroad. He retired from Radford Ammunition Plant with 32 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Alice Campbell, Radford; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Buddy Martin, Radford; one son, Andy Campbell Jr., Radford; two grandchildren. FERGUSON, Julian Clay, (``J.C.''), 59, of Route 1, Glade Hill, died suddenly Monday, September 4, 1995 at his home. He was a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church, where he served as usher, and was retired from E.I. DuPont Co. after 29 years service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Henry and Mary Ethel English Ferguson. Surviving are his wife, Carol Pendleton Ferguson; two daught ers and one son-in-law, Rhonda F. and Richard L. Furrow, Boones Mill, Faith J. Ferguson, of the home; two grandchildren, Cory B. Furrow and Timothy R. Furrow; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Irvin and Mable Payne, Penhook, Jerry and Christine Goodbar, Vinton; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Irene Ferguson, Rocky Mount, Oscar and Hilda Ferguson, Glade Hill, Edward and Frances Ferguson, Rocky Mount, William and Ann Ferguson, Lynchburg, Gene and Betty Ferguson, Glade Hill, Nelson and Jacqueline Ferguson, Texas; two special friends, Bill Thurman and Kenneth Allman. HATCHER, John C., 74, of Roanoke, died Monday, September 4, 1995 in a local nursing home. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Clara Leonard Hatcher; son and daughter-in-law, John and Pat Hatcher, Roanoke; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Mary Lee and Cline Brubaker, Franklin County, Ethel and David Thomas, Salem, Angela and Tracy Huffman, Roanoke; six grandchildren. INGRAM, William Robert, 59, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Roanoke, Va., passed away Sunday, August 27, 1995. Born in Radford, Va. the son of the late James L. and Mary Haley Ingram. He attended public schools in Radford, Va., Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Lucy Addison High School in Roanoke, Va. He earned his B.S. Degree from Bluefield State Teachers College and Master of Education from Xavier College, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Ingram taught in Columbus Public Schools 25 1/2 years. He served in the Armed Services 18 1/2 years. Mr. Ingram was a Phi Beta Sigma. He leaves to mourn a devoted wife, Mrs. Dorothy A. Ingram; son, Darryl H. (Cindy), daughter, Mrs. Berndeana (Brian) Dean; sister, Ms. Elizabeth L. Ingram; brothers, Mr. Charles (Mary) Ingram, Mr. Do uglas M. (Ora) Ingram, Mr. James (Drucilla) Ingram Sr., Mr. Fred R. Ingram Sr., and Mr. Thomas B. Ingram; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and co-workers. MARSHALL, Mary Ann, (``Mae""), 98, of Hillsville, passed away from her home on earth to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 5, 1995, at her home. Born March 20, 1897, in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Columbus and Alice Kinzer Willard. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Elmer H. Marshall. Mrs. Marshall was active and the oldest member of Gladesboro Lutheran Church, where she was organist in her early days. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elbert and Annette Marshall of Hillsville; a sister, Ms. Vida Willard of Hillsville; two grandchildren, Peggy King and David Marshall, and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Marshall also is leaving behind many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 1995, at Gladesboro Lutheran Church with the Rev. THOMPSON, Raymond Lawrence, 79, of Salem, died Tuesday, September 5 , 1995. Born July 20, 1916, in Narrows, son of the late Elbert Dove and Fannie Elizabeth Thompson. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the European Theatre as a Staff Sergeant. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter, Class of 1963, and retired from the Shenandoah Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church where he was the Chairman of the Council on Ministries and a teacher of the Builder's Sunday School Class for over 25 years. He was an active volunteer for The Rescue Mission and Meals on Wheels. His grandsons were his pride and joy. Surviving are his wife, Margaret H. Thompson; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Joni Thompson, David and Patricia Thompson; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Fred Frank, Lisa and Jeffrey Shawver; grandsons, Stephen, Channing, Allen and Joseph Thompson, Adam and Justin Frank, Eric and Matthew Shawver; stepgrandsons, Edward and Thomas Dickenson; stepgranddaughter, Kimberly Rhodes and her daughter, Ashley. Also surviving are brothers, Herbert H. Thompson, Jerry L. Thompson; sisters, Louise T. Bain, Leona T. Willett and Frances T. Boyd. WALKER, Gertrude Hill (``Trudy''), 82, of Stuart, died Tuesday, September 5, 1995 at R.J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital, Stuart. She was retired from Bassett-Walker of Stuart. She was a homemaker and a member of Bouldin Memorial Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Walker was born in Knoxville, Tenn. on February 20, 1913 to the late Harley Hill and the late Dora Monroe Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Walker. Mrs. Walker is survived by three sons, Leon (and daughter-in-law, Marlene) Walker, Jerry Walker, both of Stuart, Harley (and daughter-in-law Peggy) Walker, Roanoke; one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Onie) Kane, Ocoee, Fla.
