CATHOLIC EDGES SHAWSVILLE 21-19

Roanoke Catholic stopped Shawsville on a fourth-quarter, two-point conversion attempt to hold on for a 21-19 victory in a non-district high school football game Saturday at Victory Stadium.

P.J. Moyer led the Celtics (2-1) with 168 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. One of Moyer's touchdowns came on a 29-yard reception from Mark Buchy, which brought Moyer's all-purpose yardage for the day to 197.

Buchy threw two touchdown passes, one of 50 yards, and had 122 yards on four completions.

The Shawnees (0-1) were held to 157 yards of total offense.
