Medley anniversary

Leon and Nora T. Medley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married August 23, 1945, at Camp Lejeune, N. C. They have lived in the Roanoke Valley 45 years. Mrs. Medley, a native of Roanoke, is the former Nora T. Millehan. She is a homemaker. Mr. Medley's hometown was Springfield, Missouri. He is retired from the U. S. Postal Service, and is a member of the VFW.

Smith anniversary

James R. Smith and Charlotte I. (Hall) Smith celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married on September 10, 1955, in Shawsville, Va. The celebration was held at the home of Pam and Don Wells on September 10, 1995. The party was hosted by their children, Jammie Gibson and her husband Ron, Pam Wells and her husband Don, and Jeff Smith and his wife Alecia. They have four grandchildren, Jimmy and Laura Smith and Whitney and Ashley Wells.

|Robertson anniversary| Mr. and Mrs. James S. Robertson celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on September 4th at the Homestead. They were married on September 4, 1970. They have one son, Chris Robertson, and one daughter, Kimberly Robertson. Mrs. Robertson is the former Carolyn Saunders.
