DEAD MAN IDENTIFIED|

Police have identified the man killed last week on North Franklin Street as Donald Edward Dawson, a 48-year-old transient from Wisconsin.

Dawson's identity was difficult to establish because he carried no identification. Police released his name Monday after locating his ex-wife and son.

Dawson was struck by a car after he walked into the road around 9:45 p.m. No charges were filed against the car's driver.
