CRESTAR ATMS TO GIVE STATEMENTS

Crestar Bank on Monday announced a new program will enable customers to obtain customer account statements from its automated teller machines. The free activity statements are for any Crestar retail checking, savings and money account.

The program, called "quick statement," will be available by year-end at more than 200 selected ATMs throughout Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Customers who have one of Crestar's money cards will be able to select an option from the ATM menu which provides them with a printed summary of all account activity since the customer's last statement through the end of the previous business day. The statements, Crestar said, will be easy to read and printed on 6-by-ll-inch sheets of paper.
