Old 611, which in the 1950s pulled the famed Powhatan Arrow passenger train, will rest under a cover built to protect it.
The free ceremony is from 7-8 p.m. and will feature photo opportunities and railroad ballads sung by Curly Ennis.
Saturday night at the museum will be Dial 611 for Murder Night. Guests will "dastardly deeds of demise" and find clues to solve them.
For $20 per person, they'll also get a cocktail buffet with food from area restaurants and access to a cash bar.
Dress for Diall 611 is casual. Reservations must be made by Oct. 2.
The railway festival continues with events throughout Oct. 7 and 8.
