BOTETOURT ROUTS CRAIG

Lord Botetourt held Craig County scoreless in the first quarter and led 35-1 at halftime en route to a 66-13 non-district blowout victory Tuesday night in Daleville.

Sarah Moore scored nine of her 20 points in the first quarter for Lord Botetourt (7-0). Sarah Hicks added 14 for the Cavaliers.

Craig County dropped to 0-2.

Shawsville 42, James River 36: In Shawsville, Sarah Hagood scored 18 points and Beth Burdette added 12 as the Shawnees beat the Knights in a non-district game. Shawsville is 4-1; James River is 0-3.

Monday's game

Alleghany 64, James River 47: Melissa Page led three double-figure scorers as the Mountaineers won a non-district game in Low Moor.

James River (0-2) was paced by Julie Firebaugh with 11 points.
