FERRUM MAN DIES OF INJURIES FROM SUNDAY TRUCK CRASH

A Ferrum man died Wednesday as a result of injuries he suffered in a car wreck Sunday in Franklin County.

A State Police report said Angel Herrera Escobar, 24, of Ferrum, was driving east on Virginia 619 when his truck ran off the right side of the road.

The truck hit a culvert and a parked tractor about two-tenths of a mile west of Virginia 707.

The accident occurred at 11:15 p.m. Escobar died at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
