ALLHANDS, Arthur P., 79, of Watseka, Illinois, died Thursday, September 14, 1995, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born February 14, 1916 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late John W. Allhands and Pearl M. Overbey Allhands. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Watseka and was an Iroquois Co. Sheriff's Deputy for over 30 years. He was a past president of Iroquois Co. Law Enforcement Association, and ESDA Volunteer for Iroquois Co. for 12 years and a farmer in Iroquois Co. for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Davis Allhands. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susan Allhands, Watseka, Ill.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Terry George, Cissna Park, Ill., Linda Burns, Champaign, Ill., and Carol L ewis, Salem, Va.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 1995, at First Church of the Nazarene at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Tom McCann and the Rev. James Farber officiating. Burial in Sheldon Cemetery. BARNHART, D. Maurice, 72, of Roanoke, and formerly of Franklin County died Friday, September 15, 1995 at his home. He was the retired owner of Barnhart Gulf Service Station. Mr. Barnhart was a member of Brick Church of the Brethren for over 40 years where he served as a Deacon, Treasurer and Financial Secretary. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Trent Barnhart, of the home; son, David M. Barnhart Jr., Huntersville, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Barnhart and Gerald Thomas Burrus, Dublin; three grandchildren, Brad, Bethany and Breanna, all of Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bowman, Wirtz, Mrs. Mandy Foster, Boones Mill; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Frances Smith, Mrs. Sylvia Peters, both of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. Funeral services will be held at Brick Church of the Brethren, 3 p.m. Sunday, with Pastor Bruce E. Huffman and the Rev. Sylvus Flora officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. BODELL, Beulah Hubbard, 92, of Blacksburg, died Friday, September 15, 1995 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. Born in Floyd County on October 15, 1902, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Maggie Dillon Hubbard. Mrs. Bodell was employed at V.P.I. & S.U. for 20 years, and a member of Blacksburg United Methodist Church for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Bodell Sr., and a son, Dr. Charles E. Bodell Jr. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Bodell, Blacksburg; daughter-in-law, Jean Bodell, Shenandoah; one sister, Mary Hylton, Blacksburg; four grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 17, 1995 at 2 p.m. in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Loughridge officiating. BONDERMAN, John D., 25, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, September 14, 1995. He was an associate with Gentry, Locke, Rakes and Moore Law Firm and a graduate from T. C. Williams School of Law in Richmond. FLESHMAN, Elizabeth Ferguson, 95, of Route 1, Brookneal, died Thursday evening, September 14, 1995 at St. John's Nursing Home in Lynchburg. She was the widow of Harry Hathaway Fleshman. She was born in Pittsylvania County February 23, 1900, daughter of the late George Judson Ferguson and Annie Walker Ferguson. She was a member of the Hat Creek Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Bob White Home Demonstration Club. She was a former school teacher in Campbell, Pittsylvania and Bedford Counties. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Linda D. Fleshman, Roanoke, and Mrs. Howard (Betsy) MacCord, Richmond; a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hat Creek Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Millard Stimpson, with burial in the church cemetery.
