MAGNA VISTA NOTCHES VICTORY IN 4TH QUARTER

Lewis Hairston scored on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift Magna Vista to a 26-19 Piedmont District victory over Tunstall on Friday in Dry Fork.

Tunstall had taken a 19-18 lead in the third quarter on a 3-yard run by Chris Martin, who had three touchdowns for Tunstall (1-1, 0-1).

Magna Vista is 1-1, 1-0.

Bassett 36,Gretna 6 Carl Watkins rushed for 190 yards on 18 carries and scored four touchdowns as Bassett (1-1, 1-0 Piedmont) won its opening league game at Gretna.

Freshman quarterback T.K. Johnson completed seven of 13 passes for 110 yards and one touchdown for the Bengals.
