James Richard McClanahan, 51, of Route 1, Pulaski, was given a three-year suspended prison sentence after being convicted of embezzling Tylenol 4, which contains codeine, from Pulaski Drugs last September. Two other charges were not prosecuted as part of a plea agreement, according to Circuit Court Clerk Woody Lookabill.
McClanahan was placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $100 in restitution.
McClanahan worked at the drug store as a pharmacist's assistant from 1987 until last October. He was on the board of the Pulaski County CADRE, a citizens' anti-drug organization that disbanded last year.
