REPORTED EARNINGS

McCormick & Co. Inc., Sparks, Md., spices maker that sold Golden West Foods Inc. of Bedford to BFG Inc. of Chicago in July, reported net earnings of $19.9 million, or 25 cents per share, on sales of $432 million in its third quarter ended Aug. 31, compared with year-earlier $26.4 million, or 33 cents per share, on sales of $422.1 million.

Vaughan Furniture

Vaughan Furniture Co. Inc., Galax manufacturer, reported net income of $1.4 million, or 50 cents per share, on sales of $24.5 million for its third quarter ended Aug 31, compared with year-earlier $1.3 million, or 47 cents per share, on sales of $24.3 million. For nine months, net income was $3.6 million, or $1.33 per share, on sales of $75.2 million, compared with $2.4 million, or 89 cents per share, on sales of $70.8 million.
