A NEW HABITAT FOR HUMANITY CLUSTER is being developed in the 1200 block of Cleveland Avenue Southwest. Five houses are expected to be built there for the working poor who contribute to them with "sweat equity" construction or office work. In the nine years Habitat has been established in the Roanoke Valley, 46 dwellings have been built by church, civic and business groups. The Cleveland Avenue homes will be of Victorian style to conform to the West End neighborhood.

AN EARLY SERVICE at 8:30 a.m. starts Sunday at Parkway Wesleyan Church, 3230 King St. N.E. The informal praise and worship time will end before the 9:15 Sunday school and does not affect the traditional 10:45 a.m. service.
A special children's program will be held Sunday concurrent with the late service.
The early service is the latest of several innovations used at Parkway Wesleyan since its relocation in 1988. An addition costing $500,000 recently was occupied to accommodate rapid growth resulting from Friend Day and other promotions.
