CARTER, Lelia Beatty, 105, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 1995. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. U.N. Broady officiating. JOHNSON, Walter Robert, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Jean W. Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Patti Johnson, Fairfax, Mark and Claudia Johnson, Herndon, Mitchell and Leigh Johnson, Bristow; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and BIll Carmack, Abingdon; his mother, Violet Downey, Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Emily Carmack, Anne Carmack; brother, Lawrence Johnson, Liles, Ill.; sister, Janet Riggles, Fort Myers, Fla. LEVICKI, Mrs. Eudora, (``Dora''), of Bristol, Va., died Wednesday, September 20, 1995 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was the widow of Alexander Paul Levicki. Mrs. Levicki was an employee of The United Company for the past 22 1/2 years. She was a member of the Red Cross and had been active in the Blood Bank of Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a supporter of the Bristol Humane Society. Survivors include two sons, George Levicki, Roanoke, and John Levicki, Winston-Salem, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Ariel M. Watson, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Alex Levicki and Alan Levicki, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Akard Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Cowell officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Tom Adams, Elmer Deel, Scott Thompson, Eddie Ramsey, Bill M iller and John Woodward. OBENSHAIN, Neil Allen, 44, of Fincastle, died Wednesday, September 20, 1995. He was a member of Fincastle Presbyterian Church. He was an engineer for the Virginia Department Environmental Quality and held a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is survived by his wife, Sue Thompson Obenshain; his father, William A. Obenshain, Roanoke; his mother, Cecelia Lucas Snyder, Daleville; sister, Brenda O. Himes, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Baptist Church with the Rev. Neil Dunnavant officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fincastle Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

PENTECOST, Toby Howard, 56, of Willis, passed away Thursday, September 21, 1995 in the VA Medical Center, Salem. He was a retired veteran of the Armed Services with 20 years service. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Margaret B. Pentecost, Willis; one son, Toby A. Pentecost, Radcliff, Ky.; one daughter, Vickie Sue Mansfield, Valdosta, Ga.; mother, Nellie L. Pentecost, Vinton; two stepdaughters, Joanne Terlep, Richmond, Sharon Wing, Niger, Africa; three stepsons, Jerry L. Willson, Richmond, Joseph A. Willson, Richmond, Nathan D. Willson, Willis; three grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 23, 1995 at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Stuart Carlton officiating. RICHARDSON, Ralph A., 79, of Salem, died Thursday, September 21, 1995. He was a Salem businessman and retail grocer, and active in many civic organizations. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 10th Armored Division and had received both the Bronze and Silver Stars for valor. Survivors include his wife, Mareta C. Richardson; four daughters, Ellen R. Driscoll and her husband, Mark, Fran Richardson, Sheryl Richardson, all of Salem and Cathy R. Marino and her husband, Robert, of Princeton, N.J.; four grandchildren, Laura Driscoll, Sam Driscoll, Nicholas Crutchfield and Caitlin Marino; three brothers, Roy Richardson and his wife, Helen, W. G. Richardson and Robert Richardson; one sister, margaret Hinchee and her husband, Jim, all of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Salem Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Lew Bennett officiating. A private interment will take place Monday in Sherwood Memorial Park. ROBERTSON, Gilbert C., (``Baldy""), 63, of Salem, passed away Thursday, September 21, 1995. He was retired from General Electric with 31 years of service. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by a son, Michael Robertson; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Robertson, Connie and David Green; grandchild, Joshua David Robertson; brother and sister-in-law, Donald C. and Jo Ann Robertson; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Clyde Doss; stepmother, Helen Robertson; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Lou Richards. SCAGGS, Grace Beemer, 88, of Troutville, died Wednesday, September 20, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley H. Scaggs and was a member of the Church of The Brethren. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, V. H. (""Zeke"") and Marie Scaggs, Christiansburg, Freddie E. and Inez Scaggs, Salem, Rudolph J. (""Rhudy"") and Iva Scaggs, Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Marlies and Duie Brantley, Williamsburg, Joyce and Larry Crawford, Carol Faye and S. R. (""Sonny"") Waddell, Connie Ruth Scaggs, all of Troutville; one brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Frances Beemer, Salem; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Nell Craft, Vinton, Louise and Claude Ray, Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. THURMAN, Rev. Roger Albert Sr., 95, a resident of Berkshire Health Care Center, Vinton, since August, 1990, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 1995. He was the last surviving member of his parents, the late T. Foy and Lockie P. Thurman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanette Pagans Thurman; a son, Conrad C. Thurman; a son-in-law, Cecil R. Bandy. Survivors include a daughter, Mary T. Bandy, Hardy; son, Roger A. Thurman Jr. and wife, Betty, of Mebane, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Martha A. WINEBARGER, Miss Lynda Lee, 47, of Marion, died Thursday, September 21, 1995 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of Sherman and Georgia Plummer Winebarger, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by eight sisters, Genevive Jones, Alamogordo, N.M., Doris Gillespie, Marion, Lucille Lilly, Pipestem, W.Va., Marie Ashby, Alamogordo, N.M., Nancy Smith, Roanoke, Phyllis Harris, Marion, Susan Ratcliffe, Marion, Wanda Thomas, Marion; two brothers, Randolph Winebarger, Marion, William H.
