Centre quarterback David Clark completed just 3 of 9 passes, and he also was sacked eight times for 52 yards in losses with Generals' defensive tackle Robert Hull, a former Lexington High standout, accounting for a school-record five of the sacks.
Washington and Lee (0-1-1) scored first when quarterback Brooks Fischer ran 35 yards for a touchdown to cap an 80-yard drive in the first quarter.
Centre (1-1-1) tied it late in the second quarter on Kris Garrett's 7-yard run, which finished off a 16-play, 82-yard march.
Centre drove deep into Generals' territory in the third quarter, but Evan Hjerpe was wide left on a 38-yard field goal attempt.
Garrett had 141 rushing yards on 30 carries. Fischer ran for 66 yards on 12 carries and completed 16 of 24 passes for another 154 yards.
