Jennifer Leigh Scott and Michael Robert Brown were united in marriage on Saturday, September 9, 1995, at Story Creek Baptist Church in Waidsboro. Reverend Jack Corn and Reverend Melvin Bradshaw officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Scott of Ferrum and granddaughter of Mr. Veltie A. Dodson of Rocky Mount and the late Olia Y. Dodson; and Mrs. Gracie Scott of Ferrum and the late Clifford D. Scott. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Brown of Glade Hill.
Attending her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. Donna Williamson of Ashland, Va. Miss Amanda Scott of Ferrum, also sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Miss Stephanie Scott and Miss Trina Johnson, both of Ferrum, cousins of the bride; Mrs. Kim Altice of Glade Hill, sister of the bridegroom; and Miss Sherry Quinn of Roanoke, friend of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Kayle Altice of Glade Hill, niece of the groom.
The best man was Mr. W. R. Brown of Glade Hill, father of the groom. The ceremony was performed by the church pastor, the Reverend Larry Holland and the Reverend Timothy Jones, uncle of the groom, of Findlay, Ohio.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rhonda Vanover, organist, Ken Richardson, saxophonist, and Cheryl Murray, soloist, and a reading by Mariah Gerow.

The bride is the daughter of Harry Donald Foley of Bassett and Barbara Foley of Rocky Mount and granddaughter of Mrs. Pauline Hodges, Rocky Mount. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Mary Baldwin College and is Area Supervisor with American Greetings Corporation in Charlottesville.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a floor-length full skirted gown of metallic silk organza with scooped neckline and dropped waistline embellished with silk cording. The V-back was accented by a trail of silk covered buttons. Her headpiece was made of matching silk organza roses, pearls and baby's breath. She carried a single white lily adorned with a silk organza bow; the dress was designed by Gail Ebling of Mt. Sidney. Melissa Yvonne Foley, sister of the bride of Roanoke, was maid of honor, and bridal attendants were Allison James, Baltimore, Md., Mary Anne Harrell, Atlanta, Ga., Courtney Georges, Richmond, Amy Bradley, Covington, Sheri Sutherland, Rocky Mount, Karen King, Lisa Rutledge, Tonya Wicks, Christy Cregger and Susan Carroll, sister of the groom, all of Roanoke. Samantha Gliniecki, niece of the groom of Roanoke, was junior bridesmaids. Their dresses were full length sheaths of cranberry red and they carried hand-tied bouquets of rubrum lilies.

The reception was held at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel, Roanoke, with the Key West Band providing music.
Following a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Charlottesville.
Pre and post wedding celebrations were hosted with an engagement party by the parents of the bride and groom on Valentines Day at the Corned Beef and Co.; a shower by the brides co-workers at the home of Linda Stevens in Waynesboro; a Texas-style barbeque given by the bride and groom attendants at the Spring Run Country Club, Roanoke; a luncheon given by Mrs. Thomas Boehling and Mrs. Gary Glontz at the home of Mrs. Boehling; a bachelorette party by the bridesmaids at Virginia Beach; a rehearsal dinner at the Hunting Hills Country Club by the groom's parents and a bridal brunch at the Crystal Spring Deli given by Mrs. Richard Williams, aunt of the bride. The groom was honored with a golf game and party hosted by friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Gliniecki entertained on Sunday at their home with an after wedding brunch for members of the bridal party, families and out of town guests.

Shannon Nicole Guilliams and Greg Steven Sweeney exchanged vows on Saturday, September 23, 1995 at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel in Roanoke, Virginia at 7:00 p.m. in the evening. Reverend Charles Briscoe officiated the double-ring ceremony. Song Hee Uhm, harpist, provided an elegant musical montage throughout the ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride wore a white, long-sleeved sheath gown of alencon lace by Demetrios. The cathedral-length, detachable train was accented by a white satin Peplum. The headpiece, adorned with iridescent sequins and beads, supported a cathedral-length veil. A bouquet of white stephanotis and dendrobium orchids, accented by ivy, was carried by the bride.
Mr. Keith Snyder, friend of the bride, served as Master of Honor. Miss Modesty Morgan served her cousin as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Morgan, cousin of the bride; Miss Tiffany Burnette, Miss Anita Smith, Miss Jennifer Weeks and Miss Autumn Young, all friends of the bride. Bridesmaids wore floor-length, off-the-shoulder, fitted gowns of black velvet and carried bouquets of Stargazer lilies.
Mr. Paul Sweeney served his brother as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. James Blankenship, cousin of the groom; Mr. Greg Alexander, Mr. Kevin Martin, Mr. Kevin Oxendine and Mr. John Withrow, all friends of the groom. The gentlemen's attire was arranged by Ron's Tuxedos and ladies' attire by Gloria Burchette and the staff of Brides House and Formals.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Beaumont in the Jefferson Ball Room. A bridal breakfast was held at the Hotel Roanoke. This gathering, hosted by the bride's parents, was in honor of the members of the bridal party.
Prior to the wedding, various gatherings were also hosted by Mrs. Elaine Beaumont, Miss Wanda Sweeney and Mrs. Rita Young. These celebrations, collaborating friends and family, were greatly appreciated.

Alison Yvonne Wood and Edgar Roland Tuck were united in marriage on September 23, 1995, at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Conway, S.C. Rev. Robert L. Cox and Rev. H. Vernon DeLong officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Patsy Ashwell Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy D. Wood of Conway, S.C. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Odell Ashwell of Huddleston, Va., and Mrs. Rosa Wood of Conway, S.C. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy R. Tuck of Moneta, Va. Grandparents are Mrs. Elma Tuck of Moneta, Va., and Mr. Percy Morcom of Madison Heights, Va. Lisa McKinney of Bedford, Va. served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Carrie Henderson, Murrell's Inlet, S.C.; April Cassidy, Columbia, S.C.; Perry Putnam, Pamlico, S.C.; and Sheron Epting, Prosperity, S.C. Emma Wilson of Stewartsville, Va. served as flower girl. Billy R. Tuck of Moneta, Va. served as best man. Ushers were Gerald Tuck, Falls Church, Va.; Michael Tuck, Moneta, Va.; Todd Lynch, Fayetteville, N.C.; and Doc Henderson, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Donnie Ray McKinney of Bedford, Va. was ring bearer. Music was provided by organist, E. Carter Breeze, The First Baptist Church Handbell Choir, and soloists, Janet Mayers, Davis Inabnit, and Dorothy Barbour. A reception followed at Little Theatre on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. Following a wedding trip to London, England, the couple will reside at Moneta, Virginia. The bride is a graduate of Conway High School and the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She is employed at Revco as a pharmacist. The bridegroom is a graduate of Staunton River High School and James Madison University. He is an Assistant Vice President with First Union National Bank of Virginia.

Jodi Lynn Turner and Christopher Warren Wilkerson were married September 16, 1995 at First Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Crabtree officiating. The reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church.
The maid of honor was Jacklyn Leigh Bowles, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Beth Austin and Renee Barton.
The best man was Albert Wilkerson, father of the groom. Ushers were Matthew Wilkerson and Dwayne Clark, brothers of the gr oom. Flowergirl was Amanda Petty. Ringbearer was Casey Perkins.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Annette Bowles of Boones Mill, Va. and Jay and Martha Turner of Roanoke, Va. The groom is the son of Mrs. Brenda Lewis of Fincastle, Va. and Albert Wilkerson of Troutville, Va.
The newlyweds will reside in Boones Mill, Va. after a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Tammy Lee Newman and Nathan Richard (Rick) Williamson were married August 26, 1995 in a candlelight ceremony in Oakland Baptist Church. The officiating clergyman was Kelly Dampeer, Sr. The reception was held at Oakland Baptist Church.
The maid of honor was Angel Wheeler, friend. The matron of honor was Kari Reed, cousin.
The best man was Barry Henderson, friend. The ushers were Jimmy Henderson, friend, and Mark Atkins, friend.
The candlelighters were Jimmy Henderson and Mark Atkins. The guestbook was attended by Teresa Haley.
The bride's gown was white bridal satin, with a sweetheart neckline and drop waist, milton sleeves, adorned with sequins, pearls, and lace, with a cathedral train attached at the waist with a satin bow. Her bouquet was a cascade of roses.
The bride is a daughter of David and Helen Newman of Blue Ridge, and is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. She is employed by Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley as Lead Asst., Health Information Management Dept.
The bridegroom, son of Robbie English and the late Nathan Richard Williamson of Roanoke, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and is employed by Bentech Mfg. as a machinist.
