Eames-Dalton

Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Eames of Rocky Mt., Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Wanda Lynn Eames, to Matthew Keith Dalton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Dalton of Salem, Va.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Franklin Co. High School, Bluefield College, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is employed with Roanoke City Schools.

The bridegroom-to-be is a graduate of Salem High School, Virginia Western Community College, and Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy. He is employed as a police officer in the Roanoke Valley.

A December 30th wedding is planned

\ Isphording-Oetgen

Dr. and Mrs. Ronald R. Oetgen of Salem announce the engagement of their son, Brian Bartlow Oetgen, of Cincinnati, Ohio, to Kathleen Marie Isphording, also of Cincinnati, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Isphording.

Brian, a graduate of Wittenberg University, is continuing his studies at the University of Cincinnati. Kathleen, a graduate of Xavier University, is with Taft, Stettinius and Hollister.

The wedding will be in Huron, Ohio, on June 29, 1996.

\ Mabes-Amiot

Becky Sue Mabes and Chad Amiot are engaged and planning to be married, in Roanoke, May 25, 1996. She is the daughter of Don and Jean Mabes. She was graduated from Salem High School; Greensboro College 1991 with a B.A. degree; Virginia Commonwealth University 1994, Masters in Social Work. She is employed by Blue Ridge Community Services and is a Residential Counselor at the Childrens Center in Salem. He is the son of Rick and Karen Custard of Prague, Nebraska. He was graduated from Grand Forks Central High School, Grand Forks, North D akota. He is serving in the United States Navy as Petty Officer 2nd Class Radioman (RM2/SS), stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.

\ White-Phillips

Donna Sue White and Michael Patrick Phillips are happy to announce their engagement. Donna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. White of Roanoke. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. Michael is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Phillips of Smith Mountain Lake. He was a graduate of Roanoke Catholic High School, and received his BBA in Marketing from Roanoke College, and his MBA in Finance from East Carolina University. A November wedding is planned.

\ Whitehead-Cooley

Lt. Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Howard E. Whitehead of Springfield, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Lee Whitehead, to Patrick Michael Cooley, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Michael Cooley of Roanoke. She graduated from Northern Arizona University and serves as a First Lieutenant in the U. S. Army. He was a 1987 graduate of Cave Spring High School, a 1991 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and serves as a Captain in the U. S. Army. Both are assigned to the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Ft. Bliss, Texas. A November 25 wedding is planned in Springfield, Va.
