Virginia Tech shot a final-round score of 290 to finish in a tie for ninth. The Hokies finished with 888, 23 shots behind the co-champions.
Ron Bradley of North Carolina won the individual competition with a 4-under 140 on the par-72 Birdwood Golf Course. UVa's Lewis Chitengwa tied for third at 144. Robby Rasmussen led the Hokies with a 149 to finish 23rd.

Cesidio Colasante scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as LaSalle knocked off Virginia Tech 3-1 in an Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer game in Philadelphia. The Hokies (4-4-2, 4-2-2) scored first on a goal by Zack Kovolenko just before halftime.
Keith Arnott and Shane Cason scored goals in the first half and Roanoke College made them stand as the Maroons downed Salisbury State 2-1 in a non-conference men's soccer game in Salem.
Arnott scored on assists from Billy Renfro and Rich Aftoora to give Roanoke a 1-0 lead. Salibury State tied the game on a goal by Matt Tirschman before Cason scored what proved to be the game-winner just before halftime on an assist by Aftoora.
Tracey Britton took a pass from Joanna Tower off a corner kick and scored the tying goal as Buffalo and Virginia Tech drew at 1 in a non-conference women's soccer game in Blacksburg. The Hokies (2-4-1) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Michele Hager.
Isabel Viera scored three goals to lead Virginia Wesleyan to an 11-0 rout of Hollins in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's soccer game.
Kelli Brubaker and Rachel Brantley added two goals each for the Marlins (6-2, 4-0). Hollins is 3-4, 0-4.
Jen Thomas and Hilary Wagner each scored as Ferrum defeated Randolph-Macon Woman's College 2-0 in a women's soccer match in Ferrum. Susan Sautter and Marie Barrickman each had an assist for the Panthers (3-3).
