Salem (6-1) employed a press to start the second half and outscored the Lancers 30-14. The Spartans made 12 of 14 free throws in the quarter and led 60-34 going to the final period.
Shellie Johnson had 25 points to lead the Spartans.
Alleghany 64, Parry McCluer 47: In Buena Vista, Natasha Chapman had 23 points and Katie Craft added 20 as the Mountaineers won a non-district game over the Fighting Blues.
Carroll County 56, Rocky Gap 27: Carroll County went on a 10-0 run at the end of the first half and kept pulling away to a non-district victory in Rocky Gap.
Covington 56, Rockbridge County 49: Joanna Helton pumped in 29 points to lead the Cougars to a non-district victory in Lexington.
After failing to score in the first quarter, Helton had 13 points in the second quarter to put Covington in control.
Christiansburg 34, Auburn 30: In Christiansburg, the Blue Demons got back in the game in the third quarter and hit their free throws down the stretch to defeat the Eagles in a non-district matchup.
Lisa Dalton scored 10 points to lead Christiansburg, which hit 14 of 19 free throws. Laura Underwood had 10 for the Eagles, who were 4-of-9 from the line.
Radford 65, Fort Chiswell 60: The Pioneers, seeking their first victory, scored 30 points in a surprising fourth quarter, but fell just short against the Bobcats in Fort Chiswell.
Narrows 68, Pocahontas 47: In Pocahontas, the Green Wave (6-0) took control early - outscoring the Indians 19-9 in the opening quarter - to remain unbeaten.
