CHRISTIANSBURG - A seminar sponsored by the Pedicle Screw Victims Information Network Center, a national organization, will be held Friday at the Christiansburg library on Sheltman Street at 7 p.m.
People who have had the pedicle screws implanted during spinal surgery are encouraged to attend the seminar. A support group for those who have had medical problems resulting from the implants is forming.
Speakers at Friday's seminar include representatives of the Pedicle Screw Victims Information Network Center, a physician and a physical therapist. The speakers will answer questions from the group. Call Louis Fernandez at 382-8758 or Sherry Mabry at 381-4073.
Radford band boosters
RADFORD - Radford High School Band Boosters and choral patrons sponsor a crafts fair and flea market Saturday, Sept. 30. Proceeds will go towards the school's music department to fund basic needs for the bands and choral groups.
Vendors, yard sale items, food and entertainment will be featured. The event will be at the high school and Armory. Vendor space is available for a fee. For information, call 639-9172 or 639-2660.
