The Roanoke women's soccer team gave Randolph-Macon a test, but it failed to pull an upset, falling 1-0.
Randolph-Macon, ranked No.1 in the South Region and No.2 in NCAA Division III, got the only goal of the game when Carrie Hall took a pass from Jennifer Kohler and scored at the 22:14 mark of the first half. Maroons goalie Kara Hedges made nine saves. Roanoke's record fell to 6-3 overall, 3-1 in the ODAC.
Kiely Munnikhysen and Beth Portell scored first-half goals as Longwood remained undefeated with a 2-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over Hollins. Longwood is 8-0-1; Hollins 3-5.
The Virginia Tech men's soccer team ran its home record to 5-0 with a 3-0 victory over Winthrop.
